T-Shirt designs for Coogee Dojo’s 2023, 2024 and 2026 Interclub Tournaments.
For the 2026 shirt, I suggested a simple fun character running to the competition. The client chose the first sketch and requested the character be more curved.
Type experiments
The 2024 brief was open. I took inspiration from the athleticism of the sport and tempered it with the fun community spirit the competition aims to promote. The result was a playful exploration of shape and line using bold colour.
The 2023 brief was to work the type into the Kyokushin karate symbol with illustrative elements and to keep it fun for all ages.
